Scientific partners of “Eco-Technics” LLP are Ufa State Petroleum Technological University (USPTU), Branch “Environmental Biotechnology” of Republican State Enterprise “National Center of Biotechnologies” of the Committee of science of Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “KazEcobioSystema” LLP. Original technologies for deactivation and disposal of drilling wastes, oily and oil-contaminated waste are developed by our scientific partners.

In 2009 the company “Eco-Technics” LLP has implemented the integrated management system in compliance with the international standards ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007 and in 2012 we have successfully passed re-certification of implemented standards.

Deactivation and disposal of oil production and oil refining waste, using 3 methods: physicochemical, microbiological and thermal methods, is provided for by operating procedures for deactivation and disposal of waste applied by “Eco-Technics” LLP.


The products resulted from treatment comply with sanitation and epidemiological requirements and safety and quality requirements and may be used as the construction material for pavement road surface, for recultivation of disturbed soils, infield roads and for landscaping and site finishing. Operating procedures reducing the negative impact on the environment and minimizing the risks considering the requirements of legislation and international standards are worked out for mentioned above methods.

“Eco-Technics” LLP is actively occupied in the search of new technologies allowing to recycle (use again) the treated waste.

In 2010-2011 the “Recommendations for use inactive oil-contaminated waste – man-induced sub-soils in road construction” were developed by the Institute KazNIiPI “DorTrans” in Almaty on the basis of scientific and experimental research. These recommendations justify the use of treated oily mineral waste – man-induced sub-soils in road construction constituting secondary waste from oil production in the form of waste drilling mud, drill cuttings, oil-contaminated soils which were previously deactivated by special agents in the form of quick lime, pulp, bentonite, A agent (buretane).  

In 2012 “Eco-Technics” LLP specialists have developed the proprietary standards “Treatment product. Organic soil ST TOO 9400-1915-TOO-234-01-2012”, registration number 00710199 and “Treatment product. Man-induced dispersed soil ST TOO 9400-1915-TOO-234-02-2012”, registration number 00710198.

Finished materials and improved soils resulting from mixing of rock material and natural soil with inactive oily mineral waste constituting man-made materials treated and consolidated by inorganic cement used for installation of top part of road surface, additional layers and sub-base of fundamental, light-weight and intermediate type of I-V technical grade of automobile roads in conditions of 1 and 2 type of locality as per humidification and in III, IV and V climatic zones for road building.

Wastes treated by physicochemical method represent anthropogenous formation, so called “man-induced dispersed soils” possessing physical and mechanical properties typical for natural soils.

Most effective use of those soils as road-building material is achieved by consolidating by inorganic cement in mixtures with rock material and natural soil ensuring the improvement of physical and mechanical properties of obtained materials.

Mixtures of man-induced soils with rock materials and natural soils consolidated by inorganic bonding agent are suitable for installation of top side of road level, additional layers and base course of automobile roads of all technical grades. Usage of mixtures in road construction practice on the basis of man-induced soils allows to extend the raw material base of local road-building materials, decrease the demand for rock materials and cost of construction, provide the disposal of mineral waste from exploration and production sector that will positively influence on environmental situation at the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2009 and 2011 the testing laboratory of “Real Way” LLP has conducted tests of specimen of deactivated waste and mixtures of deactivated waste with natural soils. Based on the results of conducted tests for further use of man-induced soil the following was made:

- material is practically impermeable in condition of maximum compaction, 5*10-7 m/day;  

- use for erection of formation and backfilling is possible;

- use for backfilling into sludge storage pit is possible;

- use for creation of clay ring is possible;

- use as component for preparation of putty material is possible.

As the result, treatment product “Man-induced dispersed soil” may be:

- used as road-building material (for installation of top side of road level, additional layers and layers of base course of automobile roads of all technical grades) in mixtures with nonorganic cements, rock material and natural soils;

- used for installation of road level and backfilling;

- used for backfilling into sludge storage pit;

- used creation of clay ring and base;

- used as component for preparation of putty material;

- used for creation of bunded areas;

- used as structurator when treating waste;

At present time there are no norms regarding the content of oil products in soil and no developed detailed criteria for assessment of soil quality resulting from microbiological treatment and recovery from oil and oil products pollution.  

Treated soil is suitable for bioremediation of disturbed soils, recultivation of the territories with disturbed or completely destroyed soil cover, for urban development when installing the landscape, recreation areas and others or distribution for forest range.

The end result of waste microbiological treatment process is treatment product “Organic soil” which can be:

- distributed on drilling areas;

- used for recultivation of disturbed soils;

- used for road filling;

- used as the ballast in road works and liquidation of gullies;

- used as the grass soil when landscaping industrial areas of enterprises and urban areas;

- used when landscaping or distributing for forest range;

- landscaping of sanitary protection zones of enterprises;

- used as structurator for waste treatment.

The end product after waste treatment by thermal method is “Thermal soil”. This material may be used as structurator for addition to waste at preparation stage of deactivation by physicochemical and microbiological methods. Material meets the requirements of GOST 30491-97 and may be used as road level soil and as road bed improved soil in road construction. Control of treatment product (sampling, carrying out of analysis) is exercised by certified control laboratories of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the basis of concluded agreements.
